Very nice job! I like this! :D

I signed on when I first arrived and checked "stay signed on", then made one reply in the music thread. Later, when I came to reply to this thread, I had to sign in a second time. Am I already on double secret probation or something? :p

I don't like the new thing going on with the forum on my phone. No updates topics, no recent topics. Looks good, but not my thing. I don't like it, just throwing that out there. Maybe this is a mobile version I'm staring at? But I don't see a full version option so I assume not.

Oh man I'm checking this new stuff out and I can update my status and I have followers!? It appears I had followers before hand, but this is way too much like FB for me, and there's good reason I'm not on there. I think after this change I may gracefully bow out of the forum indefinitely.

My username changed back to an old one I had 5 or more years ago. I can't seem to find where to change it back to kalinedrive. It is like you slicked everything clean. The new layout is disappointing. I miss the updated topics and that frame it was located. Where are my pictures?

It will take a day or two to figure out how is the best way to navigate the site. But I am sure it will be no problem. Change is good, thanks for all the work you put into this site.

I'm just glad the site is back up. I was beginning to have withdrawals. Like JP said, it's going to take some time to learn the new layout and best way to navigate. I hate change, but the site does look good and at least the search feature works again.

It's going to take a while of playing around to figure things out. I do love how easy it is to read/view from the cell phone. That is once I figured out how to access the updated threads. Amazing how you become to rely on something you never really pay attention until it's gone.

I was having withdrawals too! I thought for sure I was the only one. It's good to know others feel the same way.

Looks like it was a MAJOR upgrade. I actually think he switched software. Looks like all the content came over, and all the user accounts, but very few of the user details.
All of the thread URL's changed, which means alot of the links are broken. All of your subscriptions are gone too.

I'm looking at it this way. He's probably not done. He probably has alot of things he has to fix, and doing so takes awhile.

Once we figure out how things work, I'm sure we'll get used to it. So far I've discovered that holding the mouse over your username brings up all kinds of search options. (People you like, threads you've responded in, sub-forums that you frequent) It's different, and has a learning curve.

Maybe I'll throw a guide together if I can figure it out. (I'm working today, so it won't happen for a few days)

I'm not a fan of this. I take off for a couple of days and come back to this. The Portal was special and had it's own unique look. Other forums paled by comparison. Now it just looks like all the rest. :(

So far, I'm liking the navigation better. Finding stuff that I've posted to, and I've posted is much easier. The customization stuff takes TIME, lots of time. I think having the site down for 48 hours, you just want to get something FUNCTIONAL back up, and do the curtains and drapes after people have moved back in. ;)

After getting home and seeing it on the big screen I have agree with the others, If given the choice and option I would go back to the old version... Yes the site looks good on the phone and tablet but I mostly use a pc or laptop and on these it's way to facebooky and canvascampers looking (and I haven't visited the last one in atleast a year..)

Wait, you're going to leave the forum because you think it looks too much like Facebook??
