Try to stop at the scales on the way home to set your baseline....
I can relate with you that...lol
So last night we brought it home from VA. Here is a pic of us about to leave VA and backing it in at home. I want to thank those who talked me into the WDH. I would not have wanted to pull it without it. The trip went very well and the Trailblazer pulled it great. Thanks again!
Well the good news only lasted for a bit. I had an rv professional come over today and come to find out we were ripped off and taken advantage of. The TT we bought has a bad roof and needs to be completely replaced. Cant tell without getting up on top of it and I cannot get up there as I am disabled. Some folks in this world are just awful people and will take advantage of good folks. I spent all the money I had on the purchase and now am stuck with a pretty useless TT. It just devastating news and I don't know what Im gonna do. It just really sucks. Estimate to replace roof and parts is between $4500 - $5000.
I sorry for your loss Do you have any chance to sell it for what you have into it? Is it good enough to throw a tarp over it to maybe get a little use out of it anyway?
Is it leaking? Did the RV Tech say what was the issues? Dry rot?
there are several roll on products for sealing up rubber roofs that might get you a few years of enjoyment.
Post the issues and see what the collective here comes up with...
So an update..a very generous fella out of Shallotte, NC saw my post about being ripped off online and agreed to redo my roof at a very very cheap price to help us out. He owns his own RV shop. Also I felt kind of wobbly with the V6 trailblazer so upgraded to a V8 GMC Yukon with factory tow package. Yall think I'll still need the WDH with the beefier Yukon?
Yes, I would still use the WDH.
Glad to hear someone is willing to help out! Can't wait to hear some updates with good news!
