We will be vacationing thru West VA from bottom to top, mostly sticking in the higher elevations in/near the Monongahela NF.
It just occurred to us that there may still be some significant damage from Sandy last year. We thought about staying at Holly River SP, but heard it was devastated. We'd be much obliged to be set straight if there are areas to avoid, or areas we should not avoid due to our misconceptions. Thanks in advance!

Most of the areas I frequent are OK. Not sure where specifically you are heading, but should be fairly decent now. West Fork of the Greenbrier River, Williams River ect, are decent.

Hollr River has made a total recovery. With the MNF being at a higher elevation, it received ittle damage.
