We've been working for a few days now with the dealership. They started at $9,828.00 (odd number, I know, but I don't know where it came from) and we finally settled at $6,000.00 plus they are putting in a new battery and some baseball caps. I collect the caps so I had to make them throw them in as part of the deal!

The PUP is a 2005 Fleetwood Niagara, one owner, and in good shape with the exception of one hole in the plastic window just above the stove. They wanted $500 to fix the hole but I figure I can either live with it or, possibly, fix it myself if I can find out how. :) Overall I really like the trailer but there are a couple small things I would have liked to have seen. It apparently doesn't have DSI for the water heater; at least neither the salesman nor I could find a switch for it. Also it doesn't have AC. That normally isn't a problem as we usually camp at the coast here in Washington and Oregon but we always go to a group campout with friends every August around the Portland area. I'm hoping to find a brochure for this year/model with the specifications listed conveniently but have been that lucky so far. Anyway, we're really looking forward to getting it home and making it ours.

Sounds like a sharp rig! Not that it matters, but sometimes the last number means what month it came in, etc... Meaning they may have taken that in in August. It gives the sales guys an idea of how much "movement" there may be in price, based on how long it's been there. This could be wrong, but it's how a LOT of car dealers do their pricing...

Whichever the case, $6K for that rig sounds like a heck of a deal! Check with a local Upholstry guy, I'll bet they can fab something up for you. Worst you'd have to do is remove that piece of canvas, and bring it to them to repair. I'll bet they can repair and/or replace it.

Get some pics of the rig up!

You can get the plastic material at a fabric store and cut a patch. I fixed a hole for a buddy of mine by cutting two pieces and then using E6000 glue on both sides. It looks like a patch, but it works well.

Sounds like a great deal. I used a bicycle tire patch to repair a crack in my vinyl. You could also use a few pieces of that clear packing tape used to seal cardboard boxes. Put it on both sides. Enjoy it!

Congratulations! We have an 05 Sequoia with most of the specs for all the Highlander models that year. What specifically were you looking for?

BTW - The water heater is a manual light pilot/ gas heat only unless the previous owner changed out the heater.

Another question.. How big is the hole in the <s>canvas</s> vinyl window? I have another solution which would work better, if its not too big, and it'd only cost you about $5 total and 5 minutes!

    Manufacturer Website

Eastern Mountain Sports has them as well.

I used one of these on a small tear I had in the linoleum floor of my camper. Worked amazing. THe size is 1.75x3", so not all that large, but it all depends on the size of the hole.

Having worked at a bike shop, I had used them before and they're VERY strong. Put one on each side of the hole (inside/outside) and you'll probably never have a problem again. Wait until it's warm out though, or it won't stick properly. I'd also clean up the vinyl prior to sticking it on too.

You should be able to get them at any bike shop. If not, they're readily available online, but even a bike shop that doesn't have them, should be able to order them with ease.

    Good Luck!

I think the OP is saying that the hole is in the clear plastic window covering and not in the canvas.

Wow, thanks for all the advice! Yes, the hole is in the clear plastic window. Looks like about 2 to 2.5" in an irregular blob-type shape. :)

I discovered that the Fleetwood home page allows one to download and print out brochures, with the specs, for units going clear back to the 1970's, so I've now got a brochure with all the specs. Helped to answer my questions.

We hope to pick it up next Monday, March 9. Gotta do a camp driveway so we can practice set-up and take-down and also confirm we're able to use all systems. I've also got to design some sort of system to combine the separate drain for the shower and the drain for the sink.
