Hey... Cool thread, very revealing... great inquiry.

I'm a senior care professional, writer, website manager, producer/host of a local tv show, way too much time on computers and in the digital world.

Was in mortgage lending 15 yrs, industry collapsed. Bounced around for a year, did armed security in high crime apartments (drugs, prostitution, etc.) awhile, and finally landed as a security guard at a school district. Teachers are underpaid for sure.

WOW- I only got through about 20 pages of this before I just had to post- first I want to thank all active and retired military in the US and beyond (we love you Canada)- then I started making a list of other occupations to thank and it got ridiculously long but I'm going for it anyway-

Thank you all active and retired military, law enforcement, health care folks of all stripes, parents, teachers and administrators, techies, logistics folks, truck drivers, all of you who are mechanically inclined or who produce the things we use, hospitality folks, engineers, architects, scientists, fire fighters, dispatchers, the folks who deliver my Amazon packages every week, and greeters far and wide! (in no particular order)

and anyone else I may have missed.

    thanks!

I'll try and use as many fancy job titles as I can so I feel like I'm impressing some one on here.....no wait I can't. I'm a drafter for a company that makes rock bolts. Yep I draw a threaded bar with some pvc, and/or corrugated on it. That's about it...oh and I work in a grocery store on the weekends.
