I was an Engineering Tech for the State of Kentucky. Managed the state's transportation database and worked in GIS (geographical information systems). Basically data on maps. Was really burned out and tired of office work. Sitting in an office behind a computer not so good for me. So I bought some time when the opportunity came up and fully retired at 46.

Now I work on the family farm and trying to get it (and me) back into shape. Full time job at the moment are major home renovations on the old home place. That will be full time for a while but I love hands on carpentry and construction.

Go to college to get an office job and out of manual labor and farm work. Now right back to manual labor. I sure feel a lot better both mentally and physically though.

<waves> I've always been in the service industry, since I was a kid. Spent a few yrs in the AF *AMMO*! Then decided a life in the hair industry suited me well. I am currently a FT stay at home mom for the last 4yrs( PT sahm for 9yrs). Not sure what I'm going to do down the road when all four are in school. My dh is an Insurance Adjuster, with a background in HVAC.

I am a hotel manager and the last thing I want to do on a trip is spend the night in a rented bed in a stuffy hotel room. Give me the fresh air and my own bed in the pup. [PU]
