This was expected to be a glorious mid October camping fall weekend here in S Ontario.
I have camped in snow before, latest time being April of 2018. It was beautiful. Temps were in the low teens overnight. Was great!
Not quite as much as you had but still pretty cold.
Gee, who hasn't camped in snow??
Have to admit my wife is not a fan and I never had till about 5 years ago. Never did in my pups. First time I did was in my HTT
. Not me, but did camp in the rain in 32 degrees in a tent. It was coming down as rain but icing up. I'd rather it be snow. You don't get as wet with snow. It was down right freezing and everything was damp. Gloves were soaked through, pants were equally as wet. You just can't get warm. The little warmth from the propane stove wasn't enough. Im never going to do that again.
Snow and rain in tents and pups sucks. I loved my pups but they were not fun in rain
^2019 Passed this one down to my daughter & family after this Adirondack trip
^2019 new tent for my solo trips
My earlier setups are on that film stuff they used to have.
Finally found an old Florida Camper pic, this was from 1974, our first trip out in it. I think I was 2.5 years old.
Now thats a tent on wheels!
It was awesome! Till it got crushed by a tree. If I recall correctly they rebuilt the tubing that held up the tent but it was never right after that, or maybe they just wanted something more substantial over their heads, not really sure but it went away shortly after that and we got our Krown Monarch. Another great rig when talking about a family of 6, and the first camper I ever took out on my own. Now that I have 2 grown adult kids of my own I look back and realize that my dad actually DID trust me. He let me take his Suburban and Pup 6 hours away as a college kid.
