One can find a fallacy in any argument if they really want to.

Seems this conversation has gone beyond a discussion of the restrictions and has moved on into an argument of semantics, turning a disagreement into an accusation of stupidity, and not worth continuing.

Let's all agree to disagreeing, respecting each other's opinions and choices, and acknowledging that none of us know enough to be absolutely right in our stance.

Let's drop this thread and discuss camping.

Chinese Cooties or not the most dangerous thing we ever do is drive to go camping. We all got to jump our cactuses and take our chances!

Gas - lighting?...I stated the threat is real and questioned the handling of it.
By the looks of things many more agree with me than do not....You just happen to
fall on the opposite side and you believe what you think is right vs what the majority
    thinks....I wouldn't sweat it...You can't win em all.

I think this thread has run it's course...Whoever is capable of shutting it down is fine
by me...It was ok for awhile but backdoor name calling has doomed it.

This is way more interesting than the 2999th thread about solar panels! Hahaha! I would agree with 70% of everything said here but then we would all be wrong!

It's not that hard to self police. If the thread is not wanted anymore don't respond. If there are no responses I doubt the OP will keep on posting. If there are responses then somebody still cares.
Exercise some self discipline. (advice to myself also)

I personally don't care much about it. Self proclaimed experts, psychologist, sages, etc. have practically no effect on me. I value the opinions of all but just as long as they are stated as opinions.
If stated as fact back it up.

I think the answer is six foot curb feelers sewn into our belts and electrified self cleaning toilets. Just don't sit down too long. Lol

I agree. I try to play nice, but I also enjoy spirited debate. I make an effort to avoid name-calling, but I guess telling BikeNFish that I get less childish arguments from my 13 year old daughter could be considered name-calling. I'll apologize for that.

I wish I could go camping. But there is work to do.

Staying out of the politically charged state of things, I think everyone would like to know where the cap on these "emergency powers of the state" is.

All of us are in a state of limbo with covid... how long will the state keep us from enjoying our freedoms in the name of safety, how far can they push the limita, is it an overeaction and what about the next virus? Look, we're all about camping and are being widely affected by this. The answer is patience and being vocal to the right people. Call your governors offices if you haven't already and start burning their ears about how you feel. They may put on a good front, but you can bet they tabulate every call. Inaction is submission to the status quo. I for one think camping is harmless in most cases.
