California really should secede from the US and become it's own socialist nation that it longs to be. I was stationed there but I would never move my family there.

There is definitely enough ego in government for that to happen!

This writer has some unique issues but in many companies have been leaving CA not because of corruption but over regulation.

Governments should be supporting businesses, especially small ones, but I'm afraid this story is all too common. That's a real shame. We need all the CGs we can get.

especially since many of the small towns around the CG derive a substantial amount of business from campers...food, gas, last minute supplies, guest who would rather stay in a motel and visit during the day..
and one of the problems w politicians is they are spending tax money and not directly earned money.

We refused to do business in Ventura and in Thousand Oaks. They are insane. EVERY project turned into a lawsuit years later, even though we had NOTHING to do with the problems. (Thousand Oaks Civic Center for one)

The state in general is insane. It will go BK, and then the gangs will take over.

Besides, there are a lot better CGs in other states!

Unfortunately the overregulation and constant frivolous lawsuits are impacting most businesses, not just campgrounds. Money that could be spent on additional employees and improvements is being redirected to nonrevenue producing activities. This article shows how rampant it is in California but it is increasing everywhere.

I think its funny how many of these bad reviews on this campsites, although including other warranted reasons, are mostly because this CG prohibits alcohol.

Personally I'd rather NOT be around a bunch of drunk kids. A couple sitting around with a glass of wine or a couple of beers is one thing....going camping with the intention of playing beer pong (as one reviewer stated) is just ridiculous. Go back to your dorm room kids.
