Howdy all, Well, I more or less got thrown into this world. I grew up and live in Western Washington and as a kid we would always go to Mt. Rainier and spend a couple weeks every summer camping in the National Park. We would hike, fly fish and explore everywhere we could. I loved it!!! My family (Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister) still goes up for at least a weekend every year when we can coordinate our own families schedules. My wife is more of a city girl. She has humored me for the past decade or so, but finally reached a point where she was done with tent camping. She started looking at PUP's a couple months ago and it has been her pet project. She finally found one and the whole family loves it! I am just happy that they are happy and we will be able to get out and enjoy the outdoors a bit more. This last weekend we (She) pulled the trigger on a 2012 Palomino Traverse. It looks to be in great shape. It has a Line-X top which I think is great for the Pacific Northwest, but tto be honest, I am a little overwhelmed/nervous because I don't really know what I have gotten myself into. I DO know that I will be by far the primary care-taker of small beast, but am happy to do so, seeing that my wife is now sending me links to possible camping sites and the kids (7 and 12) are super stoked to be in and around the yet to be named camper. They are talking about theme's and possible names to call it. Still very nervous that I may have unwillingly bitten off more than I can chew but am very much looking forward to the new adventures that this thing will allow our family to share. Other than camping, I love fly-fishing, golfing, and all games, I also like to play a bit of poker when I can squeeze it in. Very much looking forward to learning all about this new hobby!
