Well, 3 days into my annual 2 week holiday with my 7 yr old granddaughter we are on the receiving end of a "wind event".....have to love camping....

We were both in the screen room when the world came crashing down....BUT
lucky for us the "big boy" parked beside us took the brunt of the tree

We're both unscathed except for grandpa filling his pants.....

Will pick up a large tarp and screen material to fix door in Jasper tomorrow and continue the adventure....

Wow! Glad you’re OK. The door and awning are expendable, you and granddaughter are not. But what a fright. [:O]

I am Glad no one was hurt, we never know what Mother Nature has in store. At least the damage to your equipment was minimal. You might need some hair coloring to cover the gray hairs that sprung up on your head .:) Good Luck and Stay Safe

Thanks all for the concerns, on a lighter note....I always knew there was a reason for those "diesel pushers"...;-)

Ouch. That must have been extremely scary time. Glad your both ok. By the way, I like the campground you are at, it's so natural looking, even though the trees is what did the damage.

Update.....tarped the awning the next day, yesterday a representative of
Parks Canada stopped by and offered a full refund of our 14 day stay to "help with the repair costs". I gladly accepted and was surprised at their generosity as its usually looked upon as an act of god situation. Mighty big of them I thought.
