Wireless Bluetooth Brake Controller questions

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I hadn't considered using an old phone just dedicated to the Curt app, but I like the idea, and will do that. Just like any brake controller, I can keep it on a certain setting, then adjust proportionally if needed.

I am looking at using an old phone dedicated to running the app- it isn't connected to cell service, and I think that will solve the issue of getting pushed to the background.

That is what I do. Use an old iPhone with no cell service. The brake controller connects the the old phone by bluetooth. The old phone is plugged in and in a phone holder in the cup holder. real handy if i need it quick.
