Hello all. 1st post and I hope someone here can assist me. I am wiring up a Voyager EB controller in my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. I need to know what color brake wire I should tap into. I have not found solid evidence on the net and as I do not own tester, I thought I'd give the forum a try.

    Any assistance would be apprciated!

Not to be a smart a**, but you'd be much better off heading to the closest auto parts store, Wal-Mart or hardware store and buying a 12 volt circuit tester. It'll cost just a few bucks and you'll know you have the right wire.

That would be faster than hoping someone has a 2005 Chrysler service manual and hoping they read the wiring diagram correctly.

Best of luck with your project!

Well, I got it installed. I did go out & buy a meter, and tested what I "thought" the correct wire to be and I was right, but it was a relief knowing for sure.

Took 5 hours to tap the brake line, run wires into the engine bay and run the line to the back of the van. Hooked it all up and the lights did not work correctly. I took apart the 7 way plug and made sure all the colors were on the right terminal, and they were, but that was my problem. APPARENTLY, brown needed to go to the green terminal and green to the brown one. Once I made that switch - voila! I have an Electronic Brake and trailer lights!

Just for future reference, I emailed Tekonsha, the manufacturer several times, and got quick and accurate answers each time. They were very helpful.

Glad to hear that you got it installed and everything is working right.

Tekonsha also has schematics and installation instructions available for download from their site. We bought a brake controller on eBay, and of course the seller didn't save the manual or any other paperwork. Everything we needed was available for download.
