    Calling BS on this warranty crap. Any customer modification ONLY affects warranty on the modified part(s) and system(s), not the entire car. That is, you do bad splices and burn the harness out? Sorry, your fault, not covered. Do bad splices and a water pump leaks? Covered, if all other criteria are met (age, mileage, etc.). The myth of a completely "voided warranty" has been around since the 50s or earlier. It doesn't happen.

    Yes. That's exactly what I found. Use of aftermarket parts is covered by the Magnuson Moss act. Modifications to a given system will not void the warranty...if the aftermarket part caused the failure then the manufacturer is not obligated to honor warranty.
