I'm sure many of you have seen this video, but it shows what happens when you have the wrong tow vehicle! Pretty Funny!

Ok now, I'm a first time soon to be pup owner- but I'd NEVER even think of towing a camper with a compact car.
What were they thinking! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, by the way- I have a Chevy Blazer-that we'll tow the pup with.

! Yup, seen that one myself some time ago. Hey, does this mean I can't get another Ford Festiva to tow my camper with??

Excellent timing on this post actually. Just Sunday we took the truck ('94 Chevy W/T 1500) to the store and parked next to a Festiva. I commented to DW and DD "Can you believe I actually used to OWN one of those?" Since I had that car before my DD was alive, she said back "Really? One of Those?" She couldn't believe it.

When I got out and looked at them both, side by side there in the lot... I couldn't believe it either. The cab and the hood of the truck are almost as large as that entire little car!! But, I'd actually buy one again to use as a daily driver if the gas prices ever shoot up again like the did last summer.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share that too. Seems to fit.

As long as you adjust the carbeurator / fuel injector so it doesn't run "a little rich".

Awesome! I haven't laughed that hard in awhile! I liked how you hear them try to start the car again when its off screen.

I watch a lot of stuff about "caravanning" in the UK and I am always amazed at how small some of their ideal tow cars are. I understand most vehicles over there are diesel and they have more torque... but even so, they seem to operate under a very different set of rules for ideal tow cars!

Hola Yo'll

I like it because it is one of the better "staged" small car and larger trailer scenes. The
other part is some people actually believe it is a true happening.

I have a Ford Escape for a company car and we drove it to the camper dealer one day while pup shopping. An overly ambitious salesman walks out and greets us and asked how he can help. I informed him that we were picking up a 30' camper that we had purchased earlier in the week. He gives a sideways look and I informed him that the salesman told me my car would pull it without a problem. The look on his face is priceless at this point in time. My DW then blurts out..."tell me why you are really here" and ruined my fun.

Many years ago I worked at a Midas Muffler shop in Rochester, MN. One day, one of the installers called us over to see a Ford Pinto he was putting exhaust on. It had a homemade trailer hitch held on to the rear bumper with muffler clamps.

Later that day, we saw the same Pinto towing a Mallard hard sided travel trailer past the shop. It upset my boss so much that he called the police. Unfortunately, they said they could not stop him unless they actually saw him do something wrong.

Since new to the portal and PUP camping, first time saw this video. So funny I had to get Angel and Nonnie and have them watch. We all got a good laugh. Especially since we are looking into new tow vehicle. At this time we are using Nonnie's 2007 F-150, but not extended cab, so only 2 fit comfortably and 3 if squeezed or one of the dogs. We own a Mazda, CX9 and without the "complete" (oil and tranny cooler etc..) it's only rated at 2000lbs, but with complete package it's rated for 4000lbs. Our new FR HW276 is around 3965 fully load capacity. Also, that's only the total towing capacity (4000lbs) and have not yet looked into CVWR. Since it's so close to manufacturer specs, we are hoping to have a new TV by next camping season. This year we will just take two cars when it's more than three of us going.

Again, awesome video. [LOL]
